It’s officially Spring and I’ve been spending a lot of time at EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. I love all the beautiful topiaries so much that I decided to create some F&G magic at home with this DIY Spring Mickey Topiary!
It was easy to make and already brightens up my office space.
Supplies to make Spring Mickey Topiary:
- (2) 5.6-inch styrofoam ball
- (1) 8.9-inch styrofoam ball
- 3 different colors of fake flowers or just one if you don’t want the ombre look
- Skewers
- 1 Floral foam block
- 1 plant pot
- Hot glue gun and sticks
Instructions:
- Use the skewers to attach the smaller balls into the bigger ball to form Mickey’s ears. You can use hot glue to secure it in place.
- Next, remove all the flowers from the stems and start hot gluing them onto the Mickey head. I’m going for an ombre look so I started with the beige flower, then pink, and then purple.
- Once all of Mickey’s head is covered by flowers. Use 2 skewers to attach the Mickey head onto the foam block to be placed into the plant pot.
Here’s the final look of my DIY Spring Mickey Topiary:
You can use any type of flowers to make your DIY Spring Mickey Topiary! I love hydrangeas but you can also use sunflowers or roses. It makes me so happy to have this in my space and love creating Flower and Garden magic at home.
