Spring is in bloom at Taste of EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival which started on 3/3 and it will have its longest run yet spanning 4 months until 7/5! I was lucky enough to visit the first 5 consecutive days of the festival and I’m here to share everything you need to know about Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival 2021!
Flower and Garden Festival Topiaries
One of the main features of the Flower and Garden Festival is the beautiful Disney Character topiaries displayed throughout the park. There are a few new ones this year including the Fantasia topiaries at the entrance. I gasped happily when I saw Sorcerer Mickey on opening day.
There are 24 different sets of topiaries in total and some have found new locations. Here are some of my favorites!
Outdoor Kitchens
It won’t be an Epcot festival without the amazing outdoor kitchens featuring different cuisines from the countries and local favorites.
Some of my favorites eats have returned include the street corn from Trowel and Trellis, Violet Lemonade from Pineapple Promenade, Frushi from Hamani (Japan), Chicken Skewers, and Wonton from Lotus House (China).
Sunshine Griddle is a new booth this year and I’ve been eyeing its avocado toast, fruit loop shake, and fried cinnamon bites! There is also a rotating menu at EPCOT Farmers Feast where they highlight fresh local ingredients!
Garden Grave is back and is a fun challenge where you enjoy 5 different vegetarian dishes at the festival. The list of included dishes is found on the last page of the festival passport. You can try one of each or grab more of the one you like the most. Once you’ve received all 5 stamps, return to Pineapple Promenade to receive your complimentary Mango Lime Dole Whip treat in the cutest cup. This is definitely on my list to try this year!
Festival Scavenger Hunt
EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is different from all the other festivals because there are 2 scavenger hunts during the festival. Spike’s Pollen-nation Exploration is available throughout the festival with the Eggstravaganza for a limited time starting from 3/19 till 4/16.
The scavenger hunt is an additional cost but totally worth it because it’s a fun way to explore the festival and you get a prize at the end! The maps cost $7.99 (Annual Passholder and DVC discounts can be applied) and come with stickers needed to complete the hunt.
The prizes for this year’s Spike’s Pollen-nation Exploration are the cutest with plastic plates (2 each) featuring Orange Bird, Spike, Figment, and Minnie.
How cute are the prizes for the egg hunt? You can pick one per map. This post has all the details and hiding locations for the Eggstravaganza 2021.
Flower and Garden Festival Entertainment
Get ready for some live entertainment at this festival! Voice of Liberty and returns to the stage daily at the America Gardens. But joining them at this festival are different local Orlando bands every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights.
The Goodness Garden Butterfly House
One of my favorite things is to check out all the butterflies in the Butterfly House. It’s also a great learning activity for kids to see the butterfly life cycle!
Health Full Trail
Playgrounds are still closed due to COVID however one of the old playground locations has been converted to a relaxation and leisure area to promote rest, an active lifestyle, and healthy eating. Find this area in Future World west across from Honey Bee-stro and Starbucks.
Flower and Garden Festival Merchandise
There is so much cute merchandise at this festival with 5 different collections. We have Orange Bird, Figment, Minnie, Spike, and Farmer Mickey. There is something for everyone!
I’m so happy that EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will run until 7/5 because there is just so much to do, see and eat! Will you be making a visit this year?
