The Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts is my favorite festival because I love all the art, food, creativity and inspiration it brings. I will be sharing my top 5 must dos that are also kid friendly at this festival.
1. Paint by Number Mural
Location: Across from The Land Pavilion
Hours: Open to 5 pm
The Paint by Number mural is a complimentary activity where guests help to create a large mural. I’m so happy my favorite Paint by Number mural is back with a new location and safety precautions.
Start by visiting the nearby hut where you can choose your paint color before heading to the mural wall. Once you get to the front of the line, a CM will assign you to a numbered section and instruct you to paint 5-7 boxes of your paint color.
It’s so fun to see the process and the completed mural. Make sure to pick up a bookmark at the end of the mural!
2. Visit the Artists
Location: Throughout different art booths in the World Showcase
This festival is so unique because Disney displays and sells the work of many talented artists. The best part is that you can meet these amazing artists and get your artwork signed making it even more special. Wonderground Gallery (between Morocco and France) is my favorite booth to visit because it showcases the works of my favorite artists such as Ashley Taylor, Jason Ratner, Joey Chou and Jerrod Maruyama to name a few.
3. Voices of Liberty: The Disney Songbook
Location: American Pavillion
New to this year’s festival is The Disney Songbook performed by the amazing Voices of Liberty. I have been a huge fan of the Voices of Liberty for many many years so I was so happy to hear that they were taking center stage at the America Gardens Theatre at the festivals.
They perform 4 sets daily at 3:20 pm, 4:50 pm, 5:50 pm, 6:50 pm but always consult the My Disney Experience app for updated showtimes.

4. Animation Academy
Location: American Pavilion
Want to learn how to draw some of your favorite Disney characters? Then you must check out the Animation Academy also found at the America Gardens Theatre! You’ll receive a clipboard with paper, pencil and step by step instructions on how to draw a Disney character.
There are two sessions daily at 12:30 and 1:30. I recommend arriving 10 minutes early to get a good seat towards the front of the theatre. This is such a fun activity for all ages and really sparks those creative juices.
If you love learning how to draw Disney characters, there is also an Animation Experience full time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Check out my post here to learn all about it!
5. Become the Art
After creating and being inspired from amazing different artwork and artists, it’s time to become art yourself! Festival of the Arts offers various photo opportunities throughout the World Showcase from large photo boxes to jumping into 3D chalk art!
One change that I’ve noticed this year is that there is no longer a Photopass Photographer available to take your picture at the large photo boxes so someone from your party will have to be the photographer.
Locations have changed this year but if you’re curious to see all the photo box opportunities available, check out my post from last year’s Festival of the Arts!
The 3D artwork by Nate Baranowski changes weekly and it’s always a fun surprise to see what he creates.
