Fun Photo Opportunities at Festival of the Arts

January 20, 2020

My favorite festival, Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts has started and will run till Feb 24th this year! One of my favorite experiences is all the fun photo opportunities available around Epcot during the festival. Strike a pose and immerse yourself into the art with these creative photo boxes and backdrops. I have compiled a list of all the photo opportunities and their locations so you can create your own masterpieces!

Cafe Terrace at Night and Sunflower – Vincent Van Gogh

  • Location: Right side of the path leading to the World Showcase
  • Photopass Photographer: Yes

New this year is Cafe Terrace at Night photo box and it can be found prior to entering the World Showcase.

Van Gogh’s Sunflowers smelled really nice

The photo box is located on the right side of the path just before the splash pad area.

Peter Pan’s Mermaid Lagoon and Skull Rock

  • Location: United Kingdom Pavilion
  • Photopass photographer: Yes

This one in the United Kingdom Pavilion may just be my favorite! Where else can you jump into the pages of Peter Pan and become a mermaid or pirate?

It’s always been a dream of mine to be a mermaid!

Luncheon of the Boating Party – Pierre-Auguste Renoir

  • Location: France Pavilion
  • Photopass photographer: Yes

This painting would have been even better with drinks in our hands. However, we still had an amazing time at this luncheon in France.

Find this photo box along the right walls right when you enter the France Pavilion.

Washington Crossing the Delaware – Emauel Leutze

  • Location: American Pavilion
  • Photopass photographer: Yes

Become a part of American history with this photo opportunity at the American Pavilion.

Washington definitely needed our help crossing the Delaware.

This photo spot can be easily missed since it is located towards the inside of the American Pavilion by the American Heritage Gallery building.

The Scream – Edvard Munch and The Mona Lisa – Leonardo da Vinci

  • Location: Italy Pavilion
  • Photopass photographer: Yes

Who wouldn’t want to become the famous Mona Lisa? And don’t worry, there are pictures of the actual paintings inside to help you with posing.

Birth of Venus – Sandro Botticelli

  • Location: Italy Pavilion
  • Photopass photographer: No

I think our interpretation of the Birth of Venus is better! Definitely more fun to have my girlfriends with me!

Had to grab a few Venus-es to create this masterpiece.

Both photo opportunities in Italy can be found directly across from each other.

Frida

  • Location: Mexico Pavilion
  • Photopass photographer: No

This colorful and fun Frida photo opportunity can be found in the Mexico Pavilion. However, I do recommend having someone there to provide directions to ensure a correctly placed unibrow.

Butterfly Wall

  • Location: The Land
  • Photopass photographer: No

I love this new temporary wall of beautiful butterflies! It is located on the right side of The Land building and has 5 differently patterned and located butterflies. I like that there are butterflies of different height so everyone can find wings that suit them.

Susan is such a happy butterfly!

This watercolor butterfly matches Carlie’s shirt perfectly!

As you can see, I am a huge fan of these fun photo opportunities at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts and hope everyone gets a chance to check them out! I also love that Photopass photographers are there at most of the spots to help you create your masterpiece. If you ever lose any of your pictures, learn how to recover them here!
