Walt Disney created Disneyland and Walt Disney World as places where guests of all ages can have fun. That is still true to this day, where anyone, from babies to grandparents, can enjoy everything the parks and resorts have to offer. Below, I will be sharing some of my favorite activities that can be enjoyed by guests of all ages and ability levels.

Theme Park Rides

This is an easy one, but something that sets Walt Disney World apart from other neighboring theme parks is ride accessibility. Any rides that have no height requirement can be ridden by infants, pregnant women, or older members of your family. I remember when my boys were younger and I was able to wear them in my baby carrier onto rides or have them lap sit if they weren’t brave enough to sit on the seat on their own.

Lap sitting allows kids of all ages to enjoy the rides!

Now, let’s venture outside the theme parks to see some fun things the Disney Resorts offer for families.

Movie Under the Stars

One of our favorite activities (that can be found at all the resorts) is Movie Under the Stars! During select nights of the week, the resorts will play Disney movies on a big lawn. It’s a great way for families to unwind together after a busy day in the parks.

Campfire and S’mores

Gather around the campfire at dusks and roast some marshmallows! This is a complimentary activity that can be enjoyed by all ages across all the Walt Disney World Resorts. The campfire usually happens before the movie, so it’s a tasty and fun way to start the evening. There are even S’mores kits available at the campsite for purchase to make it an even tastier treat!

Community Halls, Games, and Crafts

Community Halls are hidden gems found at select Disney Resorts that give families a space to relax, play games, get crafty, and unwind together. My boys could spend hours playing video games, coloring art pages, and watching movies. There are crafts available for additional fees and, depending on what resort you’re at, there’s a variety of sports equipment you can rent out as well.

Calling All Golfers for Mini Golf!

Did you know you can play mini golf at Walt Disney World!? They actually have two locations: Fantasia Gardens and Fairways and Winter Summerland. Perfect for families and golfers of all ages, the Walt Disney World miniature golf courses are designed with fun themes and exciting courses. This is a great activity to do with the family if you’re looking for something outside of the parks, but still on Disney property!

Those are just some of my favorite family friendly activities, but there’s so much more. That’s what makes Walt Disney World the perfect destination for families of all ages and ability levels! Special thanks to Enterprise, the Official Rental Car of Walt Disney World and Disneyland for sponsoring our latest trip!
